| Stephanie Bekkering is a sculptor and a ceramic artist. She was born in Goes (the Netherlands) in 1934. She studied chemistry at the Technical University of Delft. In 1962 she moved to Varese (Italy) where she worked as an engineer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Union and lectured at the European School. She followed courses in ceramics with Prof. Oreste Quatrini and sculpting with Paolo Borghi and Sergio Tapia Radic. She also assisted Vittorio Tavernari. Since 1986 she has worked independently and she was invited to be a member of the Artists Circle of Varese. She has had many exhibitions in museums, churches and government buildings throughout Italy. Her work can be found in a great number of public and private collections in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. In 1994 she was awarded the first prize for Dutch artists on the Côte d’Azur (Opio) and in 1998 the second prize at the Biennale di Scultura in Piacenza. Since 2000 she is living in Fayence (France). | ||
| Stephanie Bekkering, sculpteur et céramiste, est née en 1934 à Goes (Pays-Bas). Elle étudie la chimie à l’Université Technique de Delft. En 1962, elle s’installe à Varese en Italie, où elle a été engagée comme ingénieure au Centre Commun de Recherche de l'Union Européenne et puis comme professeur à l' École Européenne. Elle a suivi des cours de céramique chez le professeur Oreste Quatrini et la sculpture chez Paolo Borghi et Sergio Tapia Radic et elle a été assistante auprès de Vittorio Tavernari. A partir de 1986, elle prend son indépendance pour ses créations personnelles et en tant que membre elle est admise au Cercle des Artistes de Varèse óu elle expose dans des musées, des églises et ainsi que dans des lieux publics en Italie. Son travail fait partie de nombreuses collections publiques et privées en Italie, en Suisse, en Allemagne, en France, en Belgique et aux Pays-Bas. En 1994, elle remporte le premier prix d'artistes hollandais sur la Côte d'Azur (Opio) et en 1998 le deuxième prix à la Biennale di Scultura de Piacenza. Elle vit à Fayence depuis 2000. | ||
| Stephanie Bekkering è scultrice e ceramista. È nata a Goes (Paesi Bassi) nel 1934. Ha studiato chimica presso la l’Università Technica di Delft. Nel 1962 si è trasferita a Varese (Italia) dove ha lavorato come ingegnere presso il Centro comune di ricerca dell'Unione europea ed insegnato presso la Scuola europea. Ha seguito corsi di ceramica con il Prof. Oreste Quatrini e scolpito con Paolo Borghi e Sergio Tapia Radic. Ha anche assistito Vittorio Tavernari. Dal 1986 lavora in modo indipendente, viene invitata a far parte del Circolo degli Artisti di Varese ed ha numerose mostre in musei, chiese e palazzi governativi in tutta Italia. Le sue opere si trovano in un gran numero di collezioni pubbliche e private in Italia, Svizzera, Germania, Francia, Belgio e Paesi Bassi. Nel 1994 ha vinto il primo premio per artisti olandesi sulla Costa Azzurra (Opio) e nel 1998 il secondo premio alla Biennale di Scultura di Piacenza. Dal 2000 vive a Fayence (Francia). | ||
| Stephanie Bekkering, Bildhauerin und Keramikerin, wurde in 1934 in Goes (Niederlande) geboren. Sie studierte Chemie an der TUD in Delft. 1962 zog sie nach Varese in Italien, wo sie als Ingenieurin in der GFS der Europäischen Union arbeitete und später an der Europäischen Schule lehrte. Sie besuchte Kurse in Keramik bei Prof. Dr. Oreste Quatrini und Skulptur bei Paolo Borghi und Sergio Tapia Radic und assistierte bei Vittorio Tavernari. Ab 1986 arbeitete sie selbstständig, wurde als Mitglied der Kreise der Künstler in Varese eingeladen und stellte viele Male in Museen, Kirchen und Regierungsgebäuden in ganz Italien aus. Ihre Arbeit befindet sich in vielen öffentlichen und privaten Sammlungen in Italien, der Schweiz, Deutschland, Frankreich, Belgien und den Niederlanden. 1994 gewann sie den ersten Preis der niederländischen Künstler an die Côte d'Azur (Opio) und 1998 den zweiten Preis bei der Biennale di Scultura in Piacenza. | Stephanie Bekkering, beeldhouwer en keramist, is geboren in 1934 te Goes (Nederland). Ze studeerde chemie aan de TUD in Delft. In 1962 verhuisde ze naar Varese in Italie, waar ze werkte als ingenieur bij het Gemeenschappelijk Centrum voor Onderzoek van de Europese Unie en later doceerde aan de Europese School. Ze volgde cursussen keramiek bij Professor Oreste Quatrini en beeldhouwen bij Paolo Borghi en Sergio Tapia Radic en ze assisteerde Vittorio Tavernari. Vanaf 1986 werkte ze zelfstandig, werd ze uitgenodigd als lid van de de Kring van Kunstenaars in Varese en exposeerde ze vele malen in musea, kerken en rijksgebouwen in heel Italië. Haar werk bevindt zich in vele openbare en privé collecties in Italië, Zwitserland, Duitsland, Frankrijk, België en Nederland. Zij won in 1994 de eerste prijs van de Nederlandse kunstenaars aan de Côte d'Azur (Opio) en in 1998 de tweede prijs op de Biennale di Scultura in Piacenza. Sinds 2000 woont ze in Fayence. |
